Death Investigation in San Diego County

Los Angeles: On Friday, July 1, 2005, the Los Angeles Police Department, Central Area Detective Division initiated a missing person’s investigation of a Los Angeles area resident.

Several hours later, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to a death investigation in the Encinitas area. In a coordinated effort, detectives from both agencies are in process of identifying the decedent, determining if a connection to the missing person exists and if so, making the appropriate notifications.

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division, have assumed responsibility for the investigation due to multiple agency involvement.
