Hanson Dam Recreation Center Oxnard Street and 210 Freeway

Who:

  • Los Angeles Police Department
  • San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs

The San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs is sponsoring a community event to reduce gang violence.

The event will begin at 9:00 AM with City representatives, Command Staff from the Los Angeles Police Department and members of the San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs.  At 9:30 AM, there will be a series of softball games composed of San Fernando Valley area gang members, Los Angeles Police Department officers and officers from the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Department.  

The Coalition has put together an Ex-Offender Job Fair for individuals who may be past offenders, but are looking to better themselves today. 

There will be a car display that will feature many different categories such as Classics, Low Riders, NASCARS and Motorcycles.  The event will have over 25 activities and informational booths to assist parents and at-risk youths with prevention resources.
