Two Men Shot, One Dead in Southeast Los Angeles

Los Angeles: Two Los Angeles men were shot Sunday and one died from his injuries following an early-morning dispute.

At approximately 5:45 AM, police officers were called to a shooting in the 1100 block of East 118th Street. One victim, Clyde Johnson, a 52-year-old black man, was transported by paramedics to a local hospital where he later died. The second victim, a 28-year-old black man, was also transported to a local hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The male black suspect, Jamal Sims, 28 years of age, is still at large.

The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the publicís assistance in solving this crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact Southeast Homicide Detective Skaggs or Maruollo at 213-972-7816 or 213-972-7828 during normal business hours.
