What:
77th Street Area Juvenile Impact Program Boot Camp Graduation

When:
Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

Where:
Fremont High School Auditorium, 7676 South San Pedro Street, Los Angeles

On Saturday, July 16th, more than 80 students and 45 parents will receive graduation certificates to declare their completion of the 77th Street Area Juvenile Impact “Boot Camp” program.

The 77th Street Area Juvenile Impact Program is a military style “boot camp” for kids.  A cadre of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Officers assume the role of drill instructors and provide instruction in ceremonies and protocol, physical training, and military style drill.  In addition, teachers from the Los Angeles Unified School District provide training to the students and their parents in anger management, and life and communication skills.  The goal of this important program is to correct and prevent negative and criminal behavior for at-risk youth and to instill discipline, self-esteem and respect for others.

For additional information about the 77th Street Area Juvenile Impact “Boot Camp” graduation ceremony or program, please contact Police Officer J. Peat or Officer J. Marrone, 77th Street Area, at 213-485-4285.
