Innocent Woman Shot and Killed

Los Angeles: An innocent woman, who was waiting for a bus, was shot and killed in South Los Angeles.

On July 19, 2005, at about 1:30 PM, 63-year-old Lois Gean Cole of Los Angeles was standing at a bus stop on the corner of 94th Street and Western Avenue.  Two individuals were involved in a dispute nearby when one of them pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds at the other individual.  Unfortunately, one of the rounds struck Ms. Cole and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was described as a male Black, 20-26 years of age.  The motive appears to be gang related.

The suspect and weapon remain outstanding.
