LAPD Releases Names of Officers Who Shot During Pena Shooting

Los Angeles: The following Los Angeles Police Department officers were identified as firing a weapon during the shooting, July 10, 2005, involving Jose Raul Peña.
The officers are grouped based upon their position at the scene:

Police Officer II John Rusth, Southeast Area, 33 years old, 2 years with LAPD

Rear alley of location:

Police Officer II Matthew Valencia, Southeast Area, 33 years old, 7 years with LAPD
Police Officer II Samuel Marullo, Southeast Area, 33 years old, 8 years with LAPD

Front of location to rescue trapped stepdaughter:

Police Officer III Jeffrey Ennis, Newton, 38 years old, 16 years with LAPD
Police Officer III Gina Holmstrom, Metro K9, 40 years old, 15 years with LAPD
Police Officer III Benjamin Santero, Southwest, 33 years old, 9 years with LAPD
