Family Holding Vigil for Victim Killed in Shooting

Why:
As a response from the community that violence is intolerable, the family of a Los Angeles man killed in a car-to-car shooting is holding a candlelight vigil tonight.

Shortly before midnight on Monday, the victim, Deandra Bates, a 27-year-old black man, was shot from another vehicle while driving his blue 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass near the intersection of Manchester and Stanford.

Additional:   Southeast Homicide Detectives will request the public’s assistance in solving this crime.
