22-Year-Old Shot and Killed

Los Angeles:  Early morning argument in Korea Town claimed the life of a 22-year-old man.

On Sunday, July 24, 2005, at about 3:20 a.m., the victim, Bae S. Kim, was walking out of a restaurant located in the 2500 block of West 8th Street in the Korea Town Area.  He was approached by several young Asian men, who challenged him and assaulted him physically. 

At some point during the assault, the victim was shot several times. 

The victim was taken to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, where he died a short time later. 

The motive is unknown and there is no further description of the suspects.
