LAPD Academy Graduation

WHAT: LAPD Graduation of 37 Police Officers

WHEN: Friday, July 18, 2008
8:00 a.m.

WHERE: Los Angeles Police Academy
1880 North Academy Drive
Elysian Park, California, 90012

WHO: Police Chief William J. Bratton
Representatives from the Board of Commissioners and Mayor’s Office
Police Department Command Staff and their special guests

WHY: Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. There are 34 males and 3 females in the graduating class.

The ethnic breakdown of the class is 10 Caucasians, 21 Hispanics,
1 African American, 1 Vietnamese, 2 Filipino, and 2 Koreans.

In addition, 2 male lateral officers will graduate with the regular recruit class.
