LAPD Mourns Death of Detective NR09319SF Los Angeles: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is investigating the death of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Detective II Susan Clemmer. Last night around 9 p.m., 41-year-old Susan Clemmer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound shortly after arriving in the lobby of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station in Santa Clarita. Detective Clemmer began her career with the LAPD in August 1989 and was last assigned to the Gang and Narcotics Division. Media Inquiries may be directed to Media Relations Section at 213-485-3586.
