Victim of Homicide found Lying in Field NR11322kr

Los Angeles: A 17-year-old homicide victim was found lying in a field. He had been shot multiple times.

On July 15, 2011 at around 11:10 a.m., Officers working Foothill Patrol responded to a radio call of a possible Dead Body in an open field to the rear of an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard in North Hollywood.  Responding Officers found the victim, believed to be a resident of North Hollywood, dead from his injuries. His name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

The motive for the shooting is unknown and the suspect and weapon are still outstanding.
