Victim Discovered Dead in Converted Garage

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Monday, June 21, 1999

On Sunday, June 20, 1999, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the body of Angel Canelo, a 41 year old male of Belizean decent was found at his residence, 4800 block of West Martin Luther King Blvd, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Victim Canelo was living in a converted garage. The victim's nephew discovered the victim when he went to the garage. Residents in the area reported hearing gunshots in the early morning hours of June 20, 1999.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
