"Body Found Wrapped Up in a Blanket"

Hollywood - On Monday, June 26, 2000, at approximately 5:50 a.m., Hollywood uniformed patrol officers received a radio call of "Homicide Investigation" in the 1700 block of North Orange Drive. Officers received information from a female witness that she observed two, male Whites carrying a body in a blanket. The person wrapped in the blanket appeared to be dead. The victim's feet were hanging out from the blanket. The suspects then left the body on the sidewalk and left the location. Responding officers quickly responded to the location and armed with suspects' descriptions, were able to detain one individual for questioning. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department K-9 Unit, along with personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Volunteer Sheriff K-9 Unit, responded to the location to conduct a search for additional suspect(s).
