"Husband Discovers His Wife's Body Inside Their Residence"

Los Angeles - On June 15, 2000, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Northeast Area Patrol Officers responded to a radio call, "Possible 187 Just Occurred, 2026 Glendale Boulevard." Upon the officer's arrival, they were directed to a bedroom where they discovered the body of a female Hispanic, identified as Elizabeth Velasco Moreno, approximately 30 years of age. The Los Angeles Fire Department was summoned to the residence and pronounced the victim dead.

The body of Moreno was initially discovered by her husband, who was returning home from work.

The direct cause of death is unknown and there is no apparent motive for the murder.

Northeast Area Homicide Detectives Andrew Teague and David Torres are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to contact the Northeast Area Homicide Unit, at 213-847-4261, or Northeast Area Watch Commander, at 213-485-2563.
