Two Wounded and One Dead in Shooting
Los Angeles- On June 30, 2000, at approximately 1:55A.M., four male Asian victims were driving northbound on Western Avenue approaching 8th Street in the City of Los Angeles. A vehicle pulled along side the victim's vehicle and the suspect(s) fired numerous rounds, from an unknown type handgun into the victims' vehicle. Three of the four victims received gunshot wounds and were transported to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. One of the victims was pronounced dead, and the other two victims were treated for their injuries and released.
The deceased is described as a 23-year-old male Asian, resident of Downey. The name of the victim will be released after notification to the victim's family. The motive for the homicide is not known.
