"Media's Help is Requested to Find Missing Person"

Los Angeles - Southwest Area Officers are looking for a "Critical Missing Person", Steven "Stivie" Bernard Cooksie, 39 years old, who walked away from a Board and Care facility on June 18, 2000, at 3:00 am and has not been seen since. Mr. Cooksie is described as a Male, Black, with brown eyes and black hair, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 220 pounds, wearing a burgundy pajama top, blue jeans, and no shoes. Mr. Cooksie has a mental capacity of a 7 year-old.

The care facility is located at 1939 W. 35th Street, Los Angeles.

The mother of Mr. Cooksie, Caroline Dennis, is very concerned for her son's safety, and is asking for the News Media's assistance in locating him. Mrs. Dennis can be reached at 1881 W. 29th Street, Los Angeles, telephone number 323-733-2818. She has photographs of the missing person.
