Argument Turns Into Shooting Death

Echo Park - Rampart Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of 24 year old Victor Cruz Galeno.

On Friday, June 15, 2001, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the victim and witnesses were drinking in the area of the 508 North Douglas Street. Suspect-1 drove up to the victim and witnesses in a red van. The victim approached suspect-1 in the vehicle and an argument ensued. Suspect-1 left the location in the red van. Approximately 20 minutes later, suspect-1 returned to the location in the red van with suspect-2. Both suspects exited the vehicle and Suspect-1 attempted to start a fight with a witness.
