Los Angeles - On Thursday, June 21, 2001, at approximately 1:00 A.M., a traffic collision claimed the life of a passenger in a vehicle that was driven by a sixteen year old male resident of Los Angeles. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Sunset Boulevard approaching Allenford Avenue at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway at the southeast corner of the intersection and collided with a traffic signal and then a tree.
