Publics Assistance Needed in Locating Sexual Assault Suspect

"Public's Assistance Needed in Locating Sexual Assault Suspect "

 

Los Angeles: Rampart Major Assault Crimes Detectives are investigating the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl.

On Wednesday evening, June 6, 2001, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Rampart patrol officers responded to a radio call of "Attempt Rape Just Occurred" near the 1900 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

The investigation revealed that the suspect entered a public restroom, forcibly grabbed the 7-year-old victim from behind and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic with brown eyes and brown/blond light hair, 507/508, 145/160 lbs., 25/30 years of age, light complexion. The suspect was last seen wearing an emerald long -sleeve collared shirt, black jeans tight around the ankles and black boots. The suspect's hair was down to his ears.

Additionally, the suspect possibly speaks Spanish and appeared clean-shaven. The suspect used a rose colored beanie as a mask during the attack. The suspect has possibly been seen in the area several days after. The suspect has recently cut his hair.
