"Victim Murdered And Body Dropped At Another Location"

 

Sun Valley: On Friday, June 22, 2001, at approximately 6:29 a.m., Foothill Area Patrol officers responded to the 11200 Block of Pendelton Street to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers located a victim with a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Anibal Gutierrez, 25 years old and a resident of Sun Valley,had been shot in the upper torso.

The investigation revealed the shooting had taken place at another location and the victim had been transported to the Pendelton Street address. The location of the shooting has not been determined. The suspect(s) have not been identified and the weapon has not been located.

The Detectives are seeking assistance from anyone who may have information regarding this incident. Those with information are asked to call 818-834-3115 or 818-834-3102 during daytime hours, and 818-56-8861 afterwards.

Foothill Area Detectives are conducting the investigation under the direction of Detective III Francis Bishop.
