"Mother of Missing Twelve Year Old Requesting the Public’s Help"

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at approximately 7:00 a.m., twelve year old Lacresha Jones left her residence at the 1500 block of E. 99th Street, in Los Angeles, to go to Markham Middle School, located at 1650 E. 104th Street. Lacresha did not attend class that day and did not return home. Lacresha is described as a female Black, 5’ 4", 190-200 lbs., large build, and medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue and white jeans, with black shoes. Lacresha has severe asthma and requires breathing treatment; she also has a rash on her arms.

Lacresha’s mother Alexis Marshall believes her daughter may be with a 19-year-old boyfriend. Lacresha was seen in the area of 46th Street and Compote Avenue. Alexis Marshall will be available for media interviews. Her contact numbers are 323-253-7642 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and 323-567-0203, 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
