"25 year-old Arrested In Connection With His Mother’s Death"
 

Los Angeles: Wilshire Detectives are investigating the stabbing death of 55 year-old Yvonne Delores Murphy.
On Saturday, June 7, 2003, at about 8:00 a.m., Wilshire officers responded to a radio call of an, "Assault" at a residence located in the 2000 block of Ridgely Drive. When they arrived, the officers were directed to the victim’s residence by her son. The officers searched the residence and discovered the victim dead as a result of her stab wounds.
The detective’s preliminary investigation led to the arrest of the victim’s son. The suspect has been identified as 25 year-old Eston McCoy and was placed under arrest for 187 P.C.(Murder).
The stabbing motive is unknown at this time.
