Search Warrants Resulted in Arrest of 20


 

Los Angeles: On June 12, 2003, at about 2:00 p.m., members of the Los Angeles Police Department, in a joint effort with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, served several search warrants inside the Nickerson Gardens Housing Development in South Los Angeles.

This joint operation was developed to help reduce the violent crime associated with the sales of illegal narcotics and gang activity in the housing development.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 17 adults and three juveniles for possession and possession for sale of narcotics. The officers also recovered a shotgun and a handgun.
