Attempt Robbery Results in Death of 29 Year-Old


 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, June 22, 2003, at about 2:00 a.m., 29 year-old Pablo Mounz Pacasange and his companion were walking in the area of Cochran Avenue and Westhaven Street when the suspect(s) approached them and attempted to rob them. During the robbery, the suspect(s) shot both victims and left the location in a newer model Ford Escort or Contour, blue or black in color.

Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victims to a local hospital. Pacasange failed to respond to treatment and was pronounced dead as a result of his wounds. His companion, a 29 year-old male Hispanic was admitted for a gunshot wound to the lower torso and is expected to recover.

The motive appears to be robbery and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.
