Shoe Store Crooks Get Caught On Video

Los Angeles: Rampart Area Gang Impact Team (GIT) Detectives are investigating the robbery that took place at a shoe store located in the 2500 block of West Pico Boulevard.

On June 6, 2003, at approximately 4:20 p.m., two male Hispanic suspects entered a shoe store and appeared to be shopping for shoes. The first suspect, a male Hispanic, 5’06" and 160-lbs and about 25 years-old with a thick mustache and a stocky build approached the victim and pointed a handgun and demanded money. The second suspect described as a male Hispanic 5’07", 140 lbs. and approximately 18 years-old with a thin build acted as a look out during the robbery.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking assistance from the community, asking anyone with information to the identify of these suspects to contact Rampart GIT Detectives at 213-207-2051 during daytime hours. On weekend or after hours, contact the toll free 24-hour number at the Detective Information Desk at, 1-877- LAWFULL, 1-877-529-3855.

A surveillance videotape with the suspects’ images is available to the press at Media Relations Section, 150 North Los Angeles Street.
