17 Year-Old Shot and Killed on Sidewalk

Los Angeles: On Monday, May 31, 2004, at about 11:10 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 13019 Dronfield Avenue in the Sylmar area.

Upon arrival, the officers found a victim of gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead on the sidewalk.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was on the sidewalk when he was shot by unknown suspects. The victim was identified as 17 year-old Mauricio Saucedo, a resident of Sylmar. The motive and the circumstances of the shooting are unknown at this time.
