Double Murder Investigation

Los Angeles: On Monday, June 21, 2004, at about 1:30 a.m., two men and a woman were sitting inside their residence located in the 200 block of West 13th Street in San Pedro. Unknown suspect(s) approached the residence and fired numerous rounds into the location, striking all three people. One of the men, a 28 year-old Hispanic, was killed at the scene.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the other man, a 23 year-old Hispanic, and the woman, a 31 year-old Hispanic, to a local hospital. The 23 year-old failed to respond to treatment and died from his injuries. The woman is listed in stable condition.

The motive is possibly gang related. The deceased victims’ names are being withheld pending notification to their family.
