Man Found Dead in Hotel Room

 

Los Angeles: Central Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the undetermined death of a 53 year-old man.

On Sunday, June 20, 2004, at about 1:30 p.m., Central Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of "Death Investigation" at the Cecil Hotel, 640 South Main Street. Upon arrival the officers were met by a hotel security, who advised them that he had found the victim in an abandoned room on the 2nd floor. The officers went to room #230 where they found the victim lying on the floor.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Although the victim’s identity has been determined, his name is being withheld pending notification to his family.

The cause of death is undetermined pending the investigation by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
