Jewelry Store Burglars Shown on Surveillance Tape

June 7, 2005

Los Angeles: West Los Angeles Detectives are investigating the burglary of a jewelry store in the Westside Pavilion Mall by two men.
On Sunday, May 22, 2005 , at approximately 6 o’clock in the evening, surveillance cameras filmed two men parking a dark BMW, possibly a 3 Series, in the parking lot of the Westside Pavilion Mall at 10800 West Pico Boulevard. The tape shows the first man entering the mall followed by the second man. While one serves as a look out, the other uses an apparent key to unlock and roll up the jewelry store’s front steel gate. The man then enters the store and removes jewelry from display cases. On leaving, he returns the gate to the down position and appears to lock it. Both men then leave in the BMW.
