Two-year-old Trinity, a daughter of Los Angeles Police Officer Nathan Ewert who is assigned to West Los Angeles Division, was diagnosed with an extremely rare blood disorder called Aplastic Anemia, which keeps her body from producing blood. Since April 2005, Trinity has been in and out of hospital to have both blood and platelet infusions.

Trinity is very ill and we ask that anyone who may be able to donate blood or platelets to please join the drive on Wednesday June 15, 2005. Officer Ewert will be at the drive along with other family members.

Anyone with questions can contact Sergeant Michael Apodaca, Los Angeles Police Department’s Wellness Coordinator, at 213-359-1179.
