Los Angeles: LAPD detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect responsible for the death of an elderly woman in the Hollywood area.

On March 21, 2005 at about 3:00 p.m., Maria Louisa Hamilton, had just left her daily stop at Tang's Donuts in the area of Canyon Drive and Franklin Avenue, when a suspect grabbed her purse and knocked Ms. Hamilton to the ground. Prior to her death, Ms. Hamilton described the suspect as a male Caucasian, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black leather jacket.

The Los Angeles City Council has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification and conviction of the persons(s) responsible for the murder of Ms. Maria Hamilton.
