LAPD Police Chief Bratton Announces Promotions

Los Angeles: Chief of Police William Bratton today announced the following transfers and promotions of LAPD Command Staff, effective during July 2008.
The following promotions were announced:
Deputy Chief Sandy Jo MacArthur to Incident Management Training Bureau, from Commander, Training Group
Commander Kyle Jackson to Operations-South Bureau, from Captain, Robbery Homicide Division
Captain I Gregory Allen to 77th Street Patrol Division, from Lieutenant II, Southwest Detective Division
Captain I Ruben De La Torre to Pacific Patrol Division, from Lieutenant II, Public Information Office
Captain I Paul Hernandez to Rampart Patrol Division, from Lieutenant II, Force Investigation Division
Captain I Jon Peters to North Hollywood Patrol Division, from Lieutenant II, Metropolitan Division
Captain I Maureen Ryan to Topanga Patrol Division, from Lieutenant I, Hollenbeck Detective Division
Captain I Paul Snell remains in the Office of the Chief of Police, promoting from Lieutenant II
Captain I James West to West LA Patrol Division, from Lieutenant II, Emergency Services Division
The following upgrades were announced:
Captain III Todd Chamberlin to Emergency Operations Division, from Rampart Patrol Division
Captain III Mark Olvera to Newton Area, from Valley Traffic Division
Captain II Phil Trotter to Valley Traffic Division, from West Valley Patrol Division
Captain II Dennis Kato to Metropolitan Division, from 77th Street Patrol Division
Captain II Rigoberto Romero to Special Operations Division, from Newton Patrol Division
The following reassignments were announced:
Commander Stephen (Rick) Jacobs to Training Group, from Operations-South Bureau
Captain III Denis Cremins to Robbery Homicide Division, from Newton Area
Captain I David Baca to West Valley Patrol Division, from Emergency Operations Division
Captain I Justin Eisenberg to Newton Patrol Division, from Pacific Patrol Division
