Family Seeks Help Finding Missing Adult

UPDATE:  On July 24, 2010, Jose returned home safe and sound.

Los Angeles:  The family of 24-year-old Jose Aguilar and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Aguilar who has been missing since April 14, 2010.

Aguilar is a resident of Los Angeles and suddenly disappeared and lost contact with his family.  Relatives told police he stopped showing up for work and it’s out of character for him not to communicate with his family.  The family is concerned about his safety. Aguilar was last seen in the City of Gardena.

Aguilar is described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes.  He stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Aguilar is urged to contact LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at (800)-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone numbers 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a mobile telephone. All text messages should being with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on “webtips” and follow the prompts.
