57-Year-Old Missing Man NR12254wr

James Oberg was found deceased on June 15, 2012 in Studio City, near his home.  His death has been ruled a suicide.


Los Angeles:
   The family of James Ernest Oberg and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help to locate him.

Oberg was last seen on May 31, 2012, around 9 a.m., at his residence in the 3900 block of Coldwater Canyon, in the Van Nuys Area of Los Angeles, he has not been seen or heard from since. Oberg’s family is extremely concern for his welfare. He is possibly suicidal and believed to be on foot.

Oberg is described as a 57-year-old male Caucasian with gray hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds

Anyone with information on Oberg’s’ whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD Missing Persons Unit, Detective Carlton at 213-996-1800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
