WHY:
To facilitate the opportunity for and engage in open dialogue about the LGBTQ community within the City of Los Angeles.  Chief Charlie Beck will address the continued efforts made by the LAPD to strengthen partnerships with the LGBTQ community in a spirit of respect and dignity. Other topics of discussion will include LAPD’s vice policies and operations, hate crime updates and the Department’s recent LGBT Community Police Academy Graduation.
