Man Missing from Mission Area NR12293kr

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department and the family of 59-year-old James Zepeda, are asking for the public’s help to find him.

On June 25, 2012, around 2 p.m., Zepeda left his residence in the 13800 block of Straton Avenue to go to a local market.  He was driving a white 1989 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, license number 5S82901.

Zepeda suffered a brain injury that resulted in his sometimes becoming lost, disoriented and confused.  His family is very concerned for his wellbeing and is asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the police department.

Zepeda is a Hispanic man, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with a medium complexion.  He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a dark gray shirt, and dark jeans.  Zepeda is the man in the middle of this picture, wearing a red hat, red shirt, blue pants, and white shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mission Area watch commander at 818-838-9800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (584-3247).   Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).  Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
