Why:
Fire and law enforcement officials would like to encourage everyone to have a safe 4th of July and promote families to attend a Professional Fireworks Show to reduce fires and injuries. Law enforcement officials will discuss the enforcement and penalties regarding illegal fireworks. The public safety agencies in the greater Los Angeles area have joined together to promote safety awareness through the use of the #SummerSafetyLA campaign of Twitter and Facebook.

Static displays of fire department and law enforcement vehicles. “Safe and Sane” and illegal fireworks displayed. The LACOFD Arson Unit will be detonating fireworks to demonstrate the potentially lethal power of illegal fireworks.
