First Street Los Angeles 90012 WHO: LAPD Chief Charlie Beck LAPD Detective Bureau Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese LAPD Robbery Homicide Division Commanding Officer Captain William Hayes Los Angeles County Chief Probation Officer Jerry Powers WHY: To provide details and give members of the media an opportunity to ask questions about ambush-style assaults LAPD officers experienced while investigating two unrelated incidents yesterday. Suspects in both encounters wounded three LAPD officers and one Los Angeles County probation officer.
