Two Teens Struck by Hit and Run Driver NR15204rh

On June 13, 2015 the Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives made an arrest in connection to the Hit and Run that occurred on June 12, 2015.

Mr. Sang Won Jung went to the police station to report that he had been the victim of a hit and run and wanted to make a report. Officers at the station observed Mr. Jung's vehicle which matched the description of the hit and run involving two teenage victims. Detectives from Central Traffic Division responded to the station and concluded that Mr. Jung had been behind the wheel when the two teenage victims were struck.

Detectives placed 26-year-old Sang Won Jung under arrest for Felony Hit and Run. Mr. Jung, a resident of Los Angeles, posted bail and is due to appear in court on July 9, 2015.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a hit and run driver who struck two male teens riding their skateboards.

On June 12, 2015, around 10 p.m., officers responded to a felony hit and run traffic collision that occurred at the intersection of Alvarado Street and Montrose Street in Rampart Division. The hit and run driver struck the two teens as they crossed westbound on Alvarado Street and fled the scene northbound Alvarado Street. The driver failed to stop, render aid, and identify himself or herself.

Family members transported the 13-year-old victim, a resident of Los Angeles, to a local hospital with minor injuries and is in stable condition.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the 15-year-old victim, a resident of Los Angeles, to a local hospital in critical condition.

The hit and run vehicle is described as a possible white, 2012-2014 Toyota Venza compact SUV. There is no description of the hit and run driver.
