Captain III Philip S. Fontanetta is currently the Commanding Officer, Emergency Operations Division. He completed the Professional Development Series at the Emergency Management Institute and Instructor Development at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Captain Fontanetta received a certificate from the Harvard School of Public Health and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, Executive Education Program. Captain Fontanetta has been certified through the Emergency Management Institute to instruct All-Hazard Incident Commander, Planning Section, and Operations Section Chief Positions within the Incident Command Structure. During his 33-year tenure with the Department, he has received specialized emergency operations training from the Department of Homeland Security, California Specialized Training Institute, and the Center for Domestic Preparedness.
