Zuma Beach 2009 Polar Plunge

Under the leadership of Los Angeles Police Department Officer Gary Beecher, law enforcement will again support the efforts of the Southern California Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics by participating in the Zuma Beach Polar Plunge as a fund-raising endeavor.

On Saturday, February 28, 2009, hundreds of brave men, women and children, will take “The Plunge” and jump into the cold waters at Zuma Beach to raise money, win rewards and have a good time. By registering and fund-raising through zumapolarplunge.com you will help to raise funds providing training and competition opportunities for nearly 13,000 Special Olympics athletes.

The Los Angeles Police Department's and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have long been fundraising partners with the Special Olympics.

This is our inaugural Polar Plunge and the goal is to raise more than $20,000 for Special Olympics athletes. Register on line at: http://zumapolarplunge.com
