Sherman Oaks - On Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at approximately 5:40 pm, a child crossing the intersection of Cedros Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard was struck and killed by a vehicle travelling westbound on Magnolia Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating this tragic accident. The child, a 7 year old female, was crossing Cedros Avenue northbound at Magnolia Boulevard when the red Chevrolet Cavalier, struck the child.

Reportedly, there were numerous vehicles stopped at the intersection while the child crossed the street. It is possible that not all witnesses to this accident were identified and interviewed. Witnesses are being sought in connection with this accident.
