Homicide Investigation

 

Los Angeles - On Monday, March 19, 2001, at approximately 8:00 PM, Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood officers responded to 1759 Orchid Avenue in response to a possible homicide investigation. On arrival they discovered the lifeless body of a female, Hispanic, 29 years of age. The victim had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.

The suspect has been identified as Michael Rose, 24 years of age, a resident of Hollywood. He was arrested without incident and was booked for 187(A) of the Penal Code (Murder). He is being held on $1,000,000 bail. The investigation will be submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration on Wednesday, March 21, 2001.

The incident appears to have revolved around a domestic dispute. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.

The investigation is being handled by members of the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Homicide Unit.
