Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the assistance of the media to provide the public with the following information to assist Law Enforcement efforts in locating a child taken by a church member.

The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the assistance of the media to provide the public with the following information to assist Law Enforcement efforts in locating a child taken by a church member.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the suspect, Martin Arechiga, 38 years of age, abducted 13 year-old Juliana Anais Tapia in the Highland Park area.

The child is described as follows: 13 year-old Juliana Anais Tapia, a female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 4’ 5" and 105 pounds. Juliana was last seen wearing tan pants and a red shirt.

The suspect, Martin Arechiga, is described as a male Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, 5’05", weighing 165 pounds. Archiga attends a same church as Juliana. The suspect was last seen with the child in a 1987 burgundy color Toyota Celica, California license plate 4BXF873. The suspect is possibly traveling to Houston, Texas.
