Multi-Three Shooting Leaves One Dead; Two Injured
Los Angeles: Foothill Homicide Detectives are investigating a
shooting incident that left 18 year-old Victor Palacios dead and two others
wounded.
On March 23, 2003, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Foothill Area patrol
officers responded to an "Ambulance ADW Shots Fired" radio call in the 12800
block of Filmore Street. Upon arrival, the officers discovered two male
Hispanics being treated by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect(s) walked up to the
area of Borden Avenue and Filmore Street and fired into a group of people
gathered in front of the location, striking the victims. Los Angeles City
Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Victor
Palacios dead at scene. They transported the other male victim to a local
hospital. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the
third shooting victim had been transported to a local hospital by a third
party.
