8-Year-Old Boy Killed by a Hit and Run Motorist

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at approximately 5:55 p.m., a fatal collision occurred between a truck and a pedestrian.

The collision occurred when the victim, an 8-year-old boy, was crossing 25th Street in a northbound direction. While crossing, the victim was struck by a Ford Ranger truck, teal in color. According to witnesses at the scene, the teal Ford Ranger truck was traveling east bound on 25th Street from Leland Avenue, when the suspect struck the victim. The impact between the suspect’s vehicle and the victim caused the victim to be struck by another vehicle, a white Ford Ranger truck that remained at the scene. However, the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
