Woman Shot and Killed, Body Dumped

Los Angeles: On March 23, 2004, at about 10:30 p.m., a woman coming home from work pulled into her driveway and saw what she believed was an intoxicated person lying on the curb in front of her neighbor's house in the 11200 block of Blythe Street. When she walked closer, she found the lifeless body of a young female.

Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at scene from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim has been identified as 18 year old Nicole Haas from Sun Valley. She lived approximately one mile from where she was found. It appears that the victim had been shot at a different location and her body was dumped on Blythe Street. The motive for the killing is unknown and there is no suspect description.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call North Hollywood Area Homicide Detectives, at 818-623-4016. On weekends and during off-hours, please contact the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk, at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
