15 Year-Old Dies From Gang Related Shooting

 

Los Angeles: Southeast Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of 15 year-old Trent Moody Jr.

On March 28, 2004 at about 7:35 p.m., Trent was standing with a group of friends in front of 2300 block of East 113th Street. Several suspects driving in a dark color vehicle drove by and at least one of the suspects fired several rounds into the group. Trent sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso and collapsed on the sidewalk. A second person, a 22 year-old woman, was also struck by the gunfire. The suspects drove off in their vehicle.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital. Trent was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital. The second victim is listed in stable condition.
