Young Man Shot and Killed

 

Los Angeles: LAPD detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the persons responsible for the death of 18 year-old, Omar Cervantes who was shot and killed on Sunday evening.

Omar Cervantes was standing in the roadway in front of 3600 El Sereno Avenue, saying goodbye to relatives, when three male Hispanics approached him in a 4-door 1989-98 light brown Honda Accord. The front passenger asked Cervantes "where are you from." Cervantes did not respond and attempted to turn away from the three men when one of the suspects fired a round, striking Cervantes. As the suspects drove away from the location they fired two additional rounds at Cervantes relatives.

The suspects were described as three male, Hispanics 18 to 20 years-old. Omar Cervantes was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
