Traffic Collision Leaves a High School Student Dead
Los Angeles: On Saturday, March 19, 2005, at about 10:50 p.m., LAPD Traffic Officers responded to a Traffic Collision at 19th Street and Western Avenue.
According to a witness, Kyle Pickle, a 19-year-old student of San Pedro High School was driving a black Lexus GS 300 with 5 other passengers. Kyle was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of the car. The car rolled over and hit a light pole.
Pickle was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the passengers was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The rest of the four passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Some witnesses stated that Pickle may have been racing a white Toyota Corolla just before the crash.
